PosterPrint 2.3 allows a document to be blown up and printed on standard sheets of papers that can be combined to form a large sized poster. Partitioning the image/doc into is taken care of by the application.
Pros: Internet explorer, MS word, Corel Draw or Acrobat any such application can be used to utilize the facilities of the PosterPrint. Any open document in such applications can be directed for print to the PosterPrint virtual printer. While setting up print parameters the document can be zoomed up to 1000%.
The PosterPrint then manages printing of the document into standard sheets of paper on a available standard physical printer.
Any time there’s a need for printing a document in large format and there’s no large format printer available is the situation where PosterPrint can help. Whether it is a large poster or a banner this application is equally useful. The application does its job using standard paper too. PosterPrint does this automatically calculating the optimal use of paper. Glue margins are added automatically.
The files generated could be saved and into disk or metafiles and printed on a different computer too, if required. The user interaction is simple and easily understandable.
Cons: Not truly a problem, but this was a demo version only. However, the features do feel useful.
Overall: With this simple and easy to use package, PosterPrint can really be useful in many situations. Overall a 4 star unit.
